Structural Calculations are necessary to show that loads are safely supported.

Often this part of the design process is contracted out to separate firms. We carry out these calculations, to ensure that the reality really does match the designs. Using knowledge gained over the years we use a number of spreadsheet calculations to ensure that all loads are suitably catered for and they are safe and secure.

Typically a project will have fifteen to twenty pages of calculations showing how the lintels or steels we specify are arrived at. These more than meet the Building Control Submission requirements.

In addition to structural calculations we also carry out insulation calculations to show that the materials specified meet or exceed the current regulations.
